Hi children!

Today we are going to talk about the life cycle of a butterfly. As you know the butterfly is an insect that change a lot during its life, so there are several changes from one stage of growth to another.

1.  First, the adult female butterflies lay eggs. A larva comes out of each egg.
2. Next, a cocoon (pupa) is formed while the larva´s skin is becoming hard.
3. Finally, the pupa opens and a butterfly comes out. This is the adult animal.
